Yoga for Pregnancy and Birth Preparation

Connect to your body and baby with yoga classes that integrate movement, breathwork, mindfulness and biomechanics, to support you on your pregnancy journey.

Drawing on over 15 years of experience working with pregnant people and new parents, my pregnancy yoga classes are designed to support you to connect more deeply with your body and baby as you prepare for birth and beyond.

Classes can help you to keep moving well as your body changes, support your pelvic floor health, and relieve aches and pains. As well as these physical health benefits, pregnancy yoga can help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve your sleep, and learn tools for labour and birth.

Group classes at Warrior & Wild, Nailsworth

Mondays 7.15 - 8.15pm

Come and join me on Monday evenings at the beautiful Warrior & Wild yoga studio in Nailsworth.

Location: 8 Fountain Street, Nailsworth, GL6 0BL (up on the first floor)

Price: Get your first class half price, just £7.50!

After that, £15 for drop-in classes, £72 for a 6-class pack (£12 per class)

The class is recommended for pregnant people who are over 12 weeks pregnant and who have been cleared to participate in physical exercise during pregnancy (if you’re not sure, please ask your midwife). It is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have practiced yoga before, and I offer lots of options for different bodies and stages of pregnancy. If you have any questions at all, please get in touch.

All equipment is provided, but feel free to bring your own mat if you have one.

Why private yoga

The beauty of private yoga sessions is that the practices can be tailored to your needs, goals and body. Sessions are created for you and can be adapted and developed over time as your needs change.

You can practice in the comfort of your own home and there is flexibility in times of sessions, ensuring they can fit around your timetable.

While some people love the energy of practicing in a large group, other people may feel self-conscious or be unsure how to adapt the poses for their body. Private yoga allows you to learn about your body in a safe space, and get playful and curious with the different practices at a pace that suits you.

Private yoga is a gift to yourself – space to tune in and take care of your needs, with someone who is focused entirely on looking after you. This can be a powerful experience, allowing you to reconnect to yourself and realign with your values and goals.

What to expect

Our first session together will explore where you’re at, what your goals are, and how we can best work together. You will have a taste of the different kinds of practice that we can incorporate, and we’ll formulate a tailored plan for the coming sessions.

The following sessions will draw on a range of different practices to support you to connect to your body and baby, to ease aches and pains, and to prepare for birth, whatever kind of birth you choose.

Each session is accompanied by resources and suggestions for you to take away, practice and make your own.

I’m based near Stroud in Gloucestershire and can offer sessions in your home if you’re local, or online if you’re further afield.
